Made with layers of turkey, cheddar cheese, bacon, whole grain bread and veggies, they are packed with flavor and wholesome goodness. I even include a Yogurt Ranch Dipping Sauce to add more flavor.
Because this shish kabob recipes is layered with everything that’s in a traditional club sandwich, kids love them. I’m even able to to get my son to help assemble them.
WHAT ARE KEBOBS?
Essentially, shish kabobs are skewers of grilled meats and vegetables. Kabobs have become very popular over the past years. Traditionally, they are a middle eastern food but they’ve become quite popular in American cuisine. You might have seen them referred to as kabob, kebob, kebap, kabab, and kebab.
Similarly, these Turkey Club Lunchbox Kabobs are fun (not so literal) twist on this type of food.
HOW TO MAKE THESE KABOB RECIPES
To make this easy and fun lunch box snack, start by prepping all of your ingredients. You’ll need chunks of turkey and cheddar cheese, pieces of bacon, square of whole grain toast, lettuce and tomatoes.
The it’s just a matter of skewering the ingredients into a stick. What kid doesn’t love eating food off of a stick?!? You can layer the ingredients in any way you’d like.

EXPERT TIPS FOR MAKING LUNCHBOX KABOBS
While making thing kabobs is fairly simple, there are a few tips that will make it even easier.When you purchase the turkey, ask the deli clerk to leave it whole and not slice it.
Purchase the cheddar cheese in the dairy section. I love Cabot cheese because the flavor is perfect!
Mix up the dipping sauce the night before you’re going to serve it. It gives the ingredients time to come together and makes a more flavorful sauce.
WHAT TO SERVE WITH TURKEY CLUB LUNCHBOX KABOBS
This kabob recipe is so versatile. You can pair just about anything with it. Some of my favourites are extra cheese cubes, fruit, hard boiled eggs, pretzels and yogurt. Adding cheese to your kids’ lunchboxes is a great way to get the need to fuel growing bodies. Any way you slice it, cheese helps fuel their school day!
TURKEY CLUB LUNCHBOX KABOBS
1/4 pound deli turkey – unsliced
1/4 pound cheddar cheese – unslided
2 slices of whole grain bread – toasted
2 slices bacon – cooked
4 cherry tomatoes
Several pieces of lettuce
YOGURT RANCH DIPPING SAUCE
1 cup plain greek yogurt
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon dijon mustard
2 teaspoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon fresh parsley – minced
1 tablespoon fresh chives – minced
2 teaspoons House Seasoning Blend
Cut turkey into eight 1 inch chunks.
Cut cheese into eight 1 inch chunks.
Remove the crust from the bread and cut bread into 12 one inch pieces.
Cut bacon slices into 8 equal pieces.
Cut lettuce into eight one inch pieces.
Assemble kabob by layering 1 tomato, piece of toast, chunk of turkey, piece of bacon, piece of lettuce, piece of toast, piece of bacon, chunk of cheese, piece of toast.
Repeat for each remaining kabob.
Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl.
Stir until thoroughly combined.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
